TSM teams short listed earlier by TSM faculty participated.
IIMC Alumni Chennai Chapter has been conducting this Workshop at
IIM Calcutta since 2003, and lately in other selected institutions. The
unique features of the workshop include:
- The cases are real, live happenings from the field - they described
events that actually took place, in the sequence that they did, and with
the repercussions that actually accompanied every action
- The cases were presented by anchors who were actually the architects
of the sequential developments that were described in each case. For
example, a case describing the genesis and setting up of a chain of up
market coffee parlors was presented by the COO who was actually
responsible for the project.
- Each of these cases was based on an Indian company operating in the
Indian market under typical Indian conditions. As a result students
could expect to face very similar situations when they graduated and
entered the world of real business.
Mr. Manikam Ramaswami (Chairman, TSM Board of
Governors) who was present throughout the workshop presented certificates to
the members of the winning teams. TSM faculty and students who were present
in large numbers were greatly appreciative of the passion and commitment of
