Prof. Vidya Suresh and Prof. Manjula N Prof. Selvalakshmi and Prof. Mutharasi

Madurai Management Association conducted a Paper Presentation Contest for Management Faculty on the topic "Relevance of case-study methodology for management studies". Prof. Manjula .N and Prof. Vidya Suresh bagged the First prize and Prof. Selvalakshmi and Prof. Mutharasi won the Third prize. The event was conducted as part of the 55th AIMA Foundation Day and National Management Day Celebration on 21st February, 2011.

Mr. Sridhar, Librarian, TSM, published a research paper titled "Total Quality Management In Digital Libraries in "Proficient - an international refereed journal (Feb, 2011).

Mr. V.Raja of II MBA and Mr. E.Vishwesh of II MBA have won the I Prize in the Business Quiz Event conducted by National Institute of Personnel Management ( Madurai Chapter) on 20th August ,2011.In doing so, they have also got qualified for the Regional Level Contest.

Ms.DeviKalyani.J, Ms. Srividya.K.B, Ms. Dhivya.D, Ms. Sujitha.A, Ms.Nagashri, Ms.Priyadharshini, Ms. S.M.Bharathi, and Mr. Sathish P.E, II MBA students, had good learning participating in Real Picture event organized by Cognizant Technology Solutions, Chennai. The role play exercises were quite challenging and proved to be good source of learning.

Ms.Sushma.S and Ms.Trishna Pratap, II MBA, participated in DISHA 2011, a HR conclave, organized at T.A.Pai Management Institute, Manipal. The students participated in Expositus where they were asked to take up one organization that has come up with major initiatives to redesign itself in the past 5 years. It was followed by Vrondi, a mock press meet.

Mr.V.Raja and Mr.Srinivasan N.G won first prize in Business Quiz, VAGANS 2011 organized by Velammal Engineering College, Madurai. The event also had other participants namely Mr.G.Kathiresan and Mr.G.Jagatheesan. Mr.Sathish P.E. participated in Best HR manager.

Ms.Elanthalir.E, Ms.Shridevi. C.S and Ms.Trishna Pratap won first prize in Business Quiz Event organized by Fatima college, Madurai. Ms.Trishna Pratap also won the first prize in Situational analysis.

Mr. N. G. Srinivasan & Mr. V. Raja of II MBA secured the first prize in the 'Business Quiz' in the National Level Technical Symposium organized by Velammal College of Engineering & Technology,Madurai

Mr. E. Vishwesh of I MBA won first prize in the Business Quiz Event of "MOTO 2011", a national level management meet organized by Virudhunagar Hindu Nadar Senthilkumara Nadar College, Virudhunagar.

TSM students with winning trophy @ INFERNO'11

Inferno is an inter-collegiate cricket tournament organized by Thiagarajar School of Management on 5th to 7th March, 2011. This is the second edition of the tournament.

INFERNO'11 is aimed at bringing together the students of the departments of MBA and MCA. It also aimed at discovering the best of sporting talents and enables to build team spirit among them.

TSM emerged as a winner of Inferno 2011. Mr. Pranesh of III MCA was declared as the Man of the Series.

The I MBA students of TSM participated in the HR Conference held at the Department of Management, Kalasalingam University under a collaborative initiative of National Institute of Personnel Managementï, Madurai Chapter. The first prize was won by Ms. Sushma. S and Ms. Devi Kalyani. J and the second was bagged by Ms. Deborah Arputham and Ms. Niranjana V K of first MBA.

TSM Students with the Trophy at Vysysa Institute of Management Studies, Salem Course on Social and Political Environment of Business

The II MBA students of TSM participated in the National Level Inter-collegiate Fest held at VYSYSA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES, SALEM on September 25, 2010. They won First Prizes in Business quiz, Finance games and Enter into mountain and cash prize worth Rs 4500/-. They also won the OVERALL CHAMPIONS TROPHY.

Thiagarajar School of Management (TSM), under Business Line Club activity, has initiated ‘Q-league' a weekly quiz competition where MBA students are quizzed on the developments reported in a collection of newspapers of the latest week. The initiative is taken by a team of students called ‘Jublient Juveniles'. The competition is held among teams mentored by different faculty. The intent is to develop the habit of reading newspapers regularly among the budding managers to enhance their knowledge level and equip themselves with awareness while performing their duties to the best of their abilities.
